Christmas Linga

Traditional Christmas with Linga!
Brighten your Christmas with Linga Fruit Wine.

Looking for ways you can make your Christmas extra special?  Here is the answer!

1. Serve Mulled Wine on your guests’ arrival – a traditional  custom!

Mulled Wine
Put in a large pot the following:
2x 750 ml bottles Linga Plum
2 bottles Sprite or Soda
Quarter cup white sugar
Sliced Orange
4 Cinammon sticks and 5 Cloves
Stir all together and simmer slowly  for 30 minutes.  (Do not boil hard)
Strain and put  in a glass bowl and serve warm to your Christmas guests

2. After Dinner serve this delicious simple easily made moist fruit cake:
Moist  Fruit Cake
Gently boil the following for 5 minutes:
250 ml margarine
500g mixed dry  fruit or raisins and currants
Blanched groundnuts or crushed macadamia nuts may be added if you like.
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Near the end add 1 level teaspoon soda and 1 level teaspoon of mixed spice
Cool.  Add 2 eggs stir in  2 cups flour and 2 teaspoons baking powder.  Add 2 Tablespoons Linga wine of your choice – plum or rosella are good!
Bake around 75 minutes at 360 degrees. When cooling you may also add a quarter cup Linga pouring over the top
3. Serve with a glass of Linga – Roselle , Plum or Mulberry is especially suitable, but Guava , Peach and Strawberry are also delicious.
